Thank you for using OptionTrigger ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you use our website at https://optiontrigger.com (the "Website"), Chrome extension, and desktop application (collectively, the "Services").
By using our Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use our Services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information
• Name and Email: We collect your name and email address when you create an account. We use this to identify you, communicate with you, and provide customer support.
• Payment Information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.
• Account Information: We store your subscription tier (Free or Premium), account preferences, and login history.
1.2 Usage Data
• Website Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about how you use our website, including pages visited, time spent, device type, browser type, and IP address.
• Chrome Extension Data: Our Chrome extension collects data about your interactions with TradingView charts, such as drawing tools used, symbols viewed, and chart settings. This data is used to provide the trading assistant functionality.
• Desktop Application: The desktop app stores local settings and preferences on your device.
1.3 What We DON'T Collect
This is important: We do NOT collect, store, or have access to:
• Your broker account credentials (IBKR today; other broker integrations may be added later)
• Your trading orders or positions
• Your account balances or sensitive financial data
All broker connections are processed locally on your device through our desktop application. Your broker credentials never leave your computer and are never transmitted to our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Provide and improve our Services
• Process subscription payments and manage your account
• Send you service updates, security alerts, and support messages
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our product
• Send you optional marketing communications (you can opt out anytime)
3. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in these limited circumstances:
• Stripe: Payment processing for subscriptions. Stripe has their own privacy policy governing how they handle payment data.
• Supabase: Our authentication and database provider. They store your account information securely.
• Google Analytics: Anonymized usage data for analytics purposes. You can opt out of Google Analytics using browser extensions.
We will NEVER sell your personal information to third parties. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer (like an acquisition).
4. Data Security
We take security seriously:
• All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
• Database access is restricted and monitored
• Broker connections run locally on your device only
• We follow industry-standard security practices
However, no system is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we have about you
• Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data
• Data Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Opt-Out: Opt out of marketing emails or analytics tracking
• Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

11. TradingView Integration and Risk Disclosure
IMPORTANT: Our Services integrate with TradingView in the following ways:
• Chrome Extension: Injects code into the TradingView web application
• TradingView Desktop Integration: Modifies TradingView Desktop application files to inject our extension
These integrations are NOT officially endorsed or supported by TradingView. We only inject our extension code to provide the product functionality described in our Services. We do not modify, access, or interfere with any other TradingView features or data.
By using our Services with TradingView, you acknowledge and agree that:
• We have no affiliation, partnership, or endorsement from TradingView
• This integration may violate TradingView's Terms of Service
• Your TradingView account could be suspended or terminated for using third-party tools
• Modifying TradingView Desktop files may void warranties or support from TradingView
• TradingView updates may break our extension's functionality at any time
• We are NOT responsible for any consequences resulting from your use of our Services with TradingView, including but not limited to: account suspension, data loss, software corruption, trading errors, or financial losses
• You use our Services with TradingView entirely at your own risk
We recommend reviewing TradingView's Terms of Service before using our Services. By continuing to use our Services, you accept full responsibility for any risks associated with these integrations.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email and update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of our Services after changes means you accept the updated policy.
