Start in DEMO
Install a verified Desktop build, open the application and complete the setup wizard. Choose the DEMO broker to practice without a real brokerage account. DEMO starts with $100,000 of simulated funds and does not represent live execution quality.
Download Desktop and the matching extension from the Downloads page. Use the overview and health pages to verify that the local backend is connected.
Connect your chart
Load the matching extension build in Chrome, open a TradingView chart and pair it with OptionTrigger Desktop. On macOS, the TradingView Desktop loader is an alternative carrier for the same extension. Follow the current Desktop pairing flow; the old SSL-certificate installation tutorial does not apply to this release.
The chart status control should show the backend connection. Check the selected broker and account before creating a plan.
Two prices. Different jobs.
Your chart shows the underlying stock price. Your position is a call or put on that stock. Take-profit and stop-loss lines are stock-price thresholds: they are not option-premium targets.
For example, a target at NVDA $187.20 can request the sale of 50% of your filled call position. The broker’s option quote determines the available order price; the stock reaching your level does not guarantee a particular option fill price.
Draw, arm, then enter
Place a Long or Short plan on the underlying chart. Long defaults to buying a call, Short to buying a put; the CALL/PUT control lets you change that choice. Configure the contract, quantity, take-profit levels and stop.
Turn the plan ON to arm it. Arming does not submit an entry order. Review the suggestion and click Buy to enter. Exit rules protect the quantity actually filled.
Review the result
Observe order and fill status in Desktop. Check branch health and the recorded decision trail. Practice cancelling an unfilled entry, making a manual exit and reconnecting before moving to a paper account.
